Saturday 29th March 2025 - Willow Zarzo Basket
Zarzo baskets originate from Spain, and the form developed from the Catalan cheese draining tray.
Zarzos are stylish and have become popular as a useful basket for foraging and in the garden.
They are often made in 2 contrasting colours and we'll have peeled and unpeeled willows in a variety of bark colours to combine as you wish. The handle is finished off with a decorative rosette binding in willow.
The course is held at my workshop at GRIT Studios in Stockport, a collective of makers and artists.
Course fee includes all materials and all tools are provided. It's suitable for beginners and those with previous experience.
